The American company Rocket Lab buys Iridium to challenge SpaceX’s Starlink and Amazon’s Leo.
Rocket Lab will acquire the pioneering satellite phone company, Iridium Communications, in an approximately $8 billion deal aimed at strengthening its presence in the satellite communications market. The agreement accelerates the California aerospace company’s strategy to expand beyond launch services by adding an established satellite network.
