Stellantis’ painful choices: will some brands end up in the second tier?
At least for the moment, Stellantis has no intention of divesting any of its brands, keeping all 14. However, only some will compete in the top league under Filosa’s new strategies, meaning in all global markets, while those in crisis will be downgraded to national competition. Or so the latest rumors suggest. Speculations, hypotheses, and scenarios await the Investor Day on May 21.
All of Stellantis’ European plans with the Chinese company Leapmotor
Stellantis is accelerating not only in North Africa but also with the alliance with the Chinese company Leapmotor (of which it owns 20% and 51% of the JV for internationalization). And the more rumors circulate about new moves with the Hangzhou brand, the more the position seems to lean towards two European Group plants: Cassino and Poissy.
More recalls at Stellantis: the 1.5 Blue HDi engine is still coughing
Last summer, the diesel engine was the cause of a recall campaign involving 636,000 family and commercial vehicles and already benefits from an extended warranty of up to 10 years or 240,000 kilometers. Now, in this new round, Stellantis will bring 50,000 vehicles back to the workshops. Again, due to the 1.5 Blue HDi engine.
