Terna, Snam, and Italgas make Cdp Reti toast

The impact of the dividend increase from Snam, Italgas, and Terna for Cdp Reti (controlled by Cdp and partly owned by the Chinese electric company State Grid). All the details.

Cdp Reti, the subsidiary of Cassa depositi e prestiti that manages stakes in Italian energy infrastructure companies, published today the consolidated financial statements as of December 31, 2025: net profit, in particular, grew by 3 percent to 557 million euros mainly thanks to higher dividends received.

WHAT CDP RETI DOES AND WHO OWNS IT

The main shareholders of Cdp Reti are Cassa depositi e prestiti with 59.1 percent and the Chinese state electric company State Grid Corporation of China with 35 percent.

Cdp Reti manages stakes in Snam, Italgas and Terna, that is the companies that deal – respectively – with the transportation, storage and regasification of natural gas; gas distribution; and electricity transmission.

The stake in Snam amounts to 31.3 percent, that in Italgas to 25.9 percent and that in Terna to 29.8 percent.

CDP RETI RESULTS IN 2025

More specifically, in 2025 Cdp Reti reported a net profit of 557 million (compared to 539 million in 2024), net equity of 3.8 billion (compared to 3.5 billion) and total assets of 5.5 billion (compared to 5.3 billion a year earlier). The total assets – the statement reads – “are mainly represented by stakes in Terna, Snam and Italgas”.

In 2025 Cdp Reti also reported long-term financing debts of 1.7 billion, as in 2024. Dividends received instead increased by 9 percent year-on-year, reaching 634 million, “due to the positive effects deriving from the increase in dividends (in terms of dividend per share) of the investee companies”.

THE DIVIDENDS OF SNAM, ITALGAS AND TERNA IN 2025

Snam’s dividend for the 2025 fiscal year is 0.3021 euros per share; in the 2024 fiscal year it was instead 0.2905 euros per share.

For Italgas, the dividend for the 2025 fiscal year is 0.432 euros per share, 13.3 percent higher than the 0.406 euros per share of 2024.

For Terna, finally, the dividend related to 2024 was 0.3962 euros per share.
